Beliefs

Habits:

I believe that in life we are headed down a path that has been focused and turned into a dream or a goal that we originally based on false or incomplete ideas. Sometimes I think we have to start thinking in terms of reward in contrast to expectations or satisfaction in contrast to money. Those actions require a return to the basics.

There are a few things in life we accomplish without even thinking. It is what makes us creatures of habit. Creating and changing habits is what will propel us into a successful life. There is a valuable list of things we spend time on, simply out of habit and if you have ever tried to begin an exercise routine or diet then you know that changing habits is not easy. We have to want it more than we want to be comfortable.

Habits, good and bad, shape our outlook and others belief about us. If you make an effort to do something regularly, then people around you will see that and realize you have made that a priority. I have a friend that gets up at 5am so he can go to the gym and get back to wake his kids up before school. He could easily sleep in and let his wife handle the kids but this says something about his priorities.

Discipline:

Discipline is the key to changing anything in your life. We have been conditioned by habit and past experiences to take the easy road. It takes personal discipline to overcome the inertia of sitting still and start growing toward the person you want to become. Both in life and in business, discipline is the rudder and goals are the wind. You guide the ship.

Olympic athletes are at the top of their game and perform almost perfect every time. The principle of 1% improvement in one specific area is a priceless gauge for them. You can use it too. You know where you are headed, so let’s strive for a 1% improvement in one area measured over a time frame.

Engage your life and make changes on purpose. There are plenty of changes taking place all around you and some of them are out of your control but some of them are not. You need to make positive physical and emotional changes in your life that are intentional and with measured results. There are a lot of ways to make these things happen but every person is different and every tactic has its benefits and consequences.

Change:

“To know and not to do is not to know” Unknown

This is one of my favorite quotes. Read it again. I actually believe that to know and not to do is worse than not knowing. At least when you claim not to know something you can always fall back to that. When you “do know” and you don’t act that is just plain lazy or stubborn.

I am a speaker that believes most people who attend and attempt to listen to a speaker presentation are there either because they want to learn or it was required. In both cases I hope to translate what I know and have learned in a way that is compelling and, dare I say, motivational.

As we continue to make strides in our own personal journey, we progressively affect everyone we come in contact with, either for good or bad. You can start today and make the commitment to live an inspired life by doing the things that dream of every day.

 Inspiration:

“Work to inspire others to do the things that inspire them” Simon Sinek

I love this quote and I have dedicated my style of speaking and coaching to resemble this precept. I want people all over the world and especially those in my sphere of influence to do the work that inspires them. I am striving to let people know that if they do the things that inspire them then they will in turn inspire others. Wouldn’t it be great if your life was surrounded by people that lived inspired?

I want the audience to feel the emotion I have for the concepts I teach. I speak in a conversational way that is easy to listen to and easy to follow. Instead of a professor attitude I have a kitchen table presentation. Just imagine two people sitting around the kitchen table talking about your goals and dreams and how you can make time to get things accomplished.

I want the audience to connect with me as a person and not just another paid representative relaying some of the same information they have heard before. I’m not claiming to have some special sauce that only I can sell. This is just my way of helping people get moving. I enjoy helping those listening to find the strength to try again. I want everyone to know that it is possible to live an extraordinary life.

Let’s work together to make today and every day after this significant. Let’s work together to let everyone know that we will not sit idly by and watch the world pass us up. Let’s begin a relationship that will convey to the rest of society that we have made a decision to move forward and to not stand still any longer.
