Truth! What is the Truth? Use It to Your Improve Your Life

Redefine what is true about you.

Truth! It’s the truth, I swear. What is the truth? Do you know? Can you tell me? The truth about what?

There are facts and then there are truths. Facts are just what the dictionary tells us they are: Webster’s Dictionary says “Something that has actual existence”. Well even those items can be fact today and not tomorrow. For instance did you know that, the world was flat until 1492? Did you know that Protons and Neutrons were the smallest particles of matter until 1977 when the Quark was discovered?

My point is that even supposed “Facts” can change and as we progress as a culture some of them do. People also say that truth is relative. Relative to whom you are what you believe and where you live. If you were raised in a protected society and you were taught that the lump between your eyes was called and ear then that would be true to you, until you were shown otherwise.

Do you believe in the bible, the Koran, or the teachings of Buddha? I would not hesitate to say that a devoutly religious person would hold to their convictions as strongly as I would mine and we would both believe we were right and what we had been taught was the truth about the afterlife and someone we refer to as God. I can talk until I’m blue in the face about what I believe but if I can’t or won’t offer any proof then I will not be able to change someone’s mind about what they believe is true. It has been said:

“A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.”

Where am I going with this? What is true about you? What do you believe about your circumstances? Some things never change. That is just nonsense. You can be, learn, train, or do anything you put your mind to.

Do you think 80-year-old Robert McKeague thought he could finish the race? Do you believe that he knew he had the fight left in him to complete the challenge? Well, thirty-eight minutes, five seconds before the midnight deadline, Robert McKeague became the oldest person to complete Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii.

He didn’t even start training until he was 57!

What do you want to do? What is your truth? How can you change your circumstances in order to put the light on a different part of your life? You have the power to change your reality. Do it, make it happen, change the truth about you. Make others believe it too. You want people to say: “If he puts his mind to it he will get it done” or “He is always completing and setting bigger goals”

If we all decided to change something about our lives, how could we redirect the world? Accomplish things that were never thought possible, at least for us. What do you believe and why do you believe it?

You can change your mind and that can change your life.
